Beginner's Guide to Making Money on the Internet

It's possible, but...

If you've ever done a search on Google for "making money on the internet" or "how to make money on your blog" or something similar, you probably would have given up in the end, because most of the sites in the search results would end up being some kind of get rich quick scheme. Internet users get cynical after a while. If a web site has a lot of pushy content and inflated copy, most intelligent people steer away from them. Our advice, like most people, would be that if it's too good to be true, it probably is.

It is however possible to make money with your website. If you think about it; why would people bother writing loads of content and paying for hosting if they weren't getting something in return?

There is no quick way of making money on the internet. It takes time and a lot of hard work. So, DON'T QUIT YOUR DAY JOB!

The internet is supposed to be a hub of information. And Google has done a very good job of weeding out the spammers and scammers. If you can't get your website listed on Google, it's a pretty lonely place for your site on the internet. Even when spammers resort to sending out unsolicited email, most email providers block these emails and throw them in a Spam Folder.

So, whether your site is a business-card type site or whether you're planning to create a website with content about something that you consider yourself to be an expert on, the most important ingredient should be properly researched, easy-to-understand and informative content.
